I have sent a separate reply to Clare, but for your information, there is a
Science and Literature section on our British Council Arts pages. See
http://www2.britishcouncil.org/arts
Scoll down and then select Science and Literature from the Search Through
our Artforms box. Once on the site, if you scroll down to Books, you can
access two bibliographies which list some 600 titles. These are popular
science books and fiction and poetry relating to science, with titles that
are in print and (mostly!)written by British authors. We will be updating
this website with new titles. As you can see, we have begun to tour some of
the authors overseas, and again the site will give updates on these
activities.

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Fiction authors at Cheltenham Science Festival
We are planning an event at the Science Festival in June on science writing.
Apart from Philip Pullman, if anyone can recommend fiction authors
(preferable well known and not necessarily science fiction) who include
science within their work, I would be grateful for your help...
thanks
