I too wanted to know more about this course (am currently writing up
dissertation on the Science For Public Understaning A/S, was interested to
compare) but had found it difficult to find anything.
However, you're enquirey prompted me to look again...
Nothing at Edexcell, very little at Wellcome and QCA (except to say its
piloting from sept 2004, i.e. you cant find out the success of the pilot as
yet...http://www.qca.org.uk/8299.html)
But I looked up John Taylor at the Rugby School and have I think what you
might be looking for http://www.rugbyschool.net/pos.htm for teachers' and
students' guides. also there is a link to his email address, he's probably
best person to contact if you want to know more.
also, for interest, an article from the independent from Jan '04:
http://education.independent.co.uk/news/story.jsp?story=481689 and I found
one of the teachers unions asking for input from teachers involved when I
googling, they're excited as its the first A/S to be 100% teacher assessed.
