Music on the Brain
Saturday 20th March 2004, 12:30-5:30pm
Camden School for Girls, Sandall Road, NW5.
How do musicians learn a piece of music? In a public experiment, Lauren
Stewart and Daniel Glaser from UCL are collaborating with the New London
Orchestra. We will test a group of schoolchildren to compare learning
from notes with learning by ear. The audience will help decide which
method of memorizing works best. There will also be talks, hands-on
demonstrations and music workshops as part of the global 'Brain Awareness
Week'.
