Hi all
Looking for differential diagnoses for shin pain in a 10 year old girl.
The shin pain, is anterior and lateral, extending into the foot. I was
unable to reproduce her pain with palpation. The history was interesting
her mother said she had complained of this problem from a young age (1-2),
only really affecting her at night. X-ray of tibia and fibula is normal.
Foot posture is normal to mildly pronated her rearfoot alignment is normal
and she is mildly intoed during gait.
Mother has tried ice, masssage, heat, paracetamol, motherly love etc with
limited to no success, thses treatment were mainly reuired at night.
Any ideas? Referred pain??
Thanks Adam
