Dear List Members
My name is Lisa Erdelyi and I am a foot care nurse who lives in Canada
(Toronto area). My company offers services for basic and advanced foot
care to residents of retirement homes, nursing homes etc.
Due to the fact that the Advanced Foot Care certification course is
limited to a few times a year at limited schools, we are exploring
training opportunities for our future staff. We are looking for a
chiropodist or podiatrist to teach this 40-50 hour course to be taught
over weekends or consecutive days during the week until the requirements
are met. In saying this, I have a couple of questions.
1) How much would be fair to offer as compensation to the educator?
2) How would I find a qualified educator? Could anyone refer me?
3) Many times nurses would like to refer to chiropody or podiatry.
Should there be a referral fee?
I appreciate your help. Thanks.
Lisa Erdelyi RPN
