I thought we were supposed to only hand over keys directly to another OHA or
to a medic. Failing that I was told that the keys should go to emas though
I believe they are not too keen on being given them.
I have been following the debate re copyright and am now totally confused.
I would have thought that one of the strengths of such a group would be
letting others know where information can be found in any journal/paper/book
etc. In my innocence I thought that it is a bit like quoting stuff in any
article we write where credit is given to the author.
Re jobs I could find it helpful if looking for a job to see them on our
site. At least you can gain first hand info about the post. I would be
less happy to see the big agencies putting jobs on the site, they do have
their websites. Not every OHA has an employer who will pay for the journals
containing job ads.so our group is useful. Surely it is just networking.

I had a similar situation when I was leaving my post in industry. I was a
lone worker and had no admin support. I left the keys with security
instructing them that they should only be released to the locum nurse who
was due to cover until a new OH nurse was appointed. I do not know if this
was done, but I had done my best. I worked with an OH dept who believed they
had a right to access staff health notes!!

Had a similar situation myself just last week, when I left my pervious job.
I handed the keys to the visiting AFOM, who will act as custodian until my
replacement is recruited, If the company decide not to continue with any OH
provision he will supervise the transfer of custody - probably to EMAS.
