I am interested to know what methods and types of equipment OH professionals are using to measure grip strength. I am currently using a Martin Collins Dynamometer to test grip strength of firefighters, but am finding that I am acheiving results that vary from physicians using Jamar dynamometers.
Does anyone practicing in this field know what is considered to be the best practice standard? It's vital that I get it right as firefighters are required to meet very specific occupational standards for grip strength.
Any advice would be great.
Nicky
