Glenn,
I had a similar request from HR last year, my way of dealing with this was
to advise HR to write to the employees GP.This took the pressure from me
and the client . As far as I am aware the heat was taken from the situation
and the person is back at work without problems, the disiplinary did take
place but at a date later than HR would have liked.
