You don't say if she has been practising and is still registered with the
NMC - or even what field she has been practising in if she has. All these
will have a bearing on whether she will be regarded as competent to practice
in OH. Obviously if she has been out of practice and is not registered she
will have to do a return to nursing course first. She can only join the RCN
if she is registered with the NMC. If she has been nursing adults of working
age then she is in the same position as any nurse who wishes to work in OH
for the first time and it will depend on what areas she is 'competent' at as
to where she can work.
