A far as I know it depends on the pension company's policy and what
their definitions are.
I worked at one place where we had 2 Ill-health retirements but one was
a severance package for unmanageable illness which would eventually
recover and the other was for "never fit to work again in any capacity"
issues and if people were found working it was fraud
