I must agree with all postings. There is no reasons for OH nurses to
prescribe. Group directions are quite sufficient, even in the case of post
exposure prophalaxis and travel. We have approx 40 meds on our group
directives and this is by far sufficient. The GP is the centre of patient
care and should be th eone prescribing medication, even in th ecase of
occupational illness' as he is in charge of long term medical management .
