Hi, this is my first response to your web site ,,,I only joined yesterday.
Very interesting issue, however I would advise your HR Director that you are
a professional in your own right and not only aware of Data protection but
of the HSW act may be he needs a copy of each to read and understand!
Co-operation and communication to start with. Followed by duty of care.
If he does have an issue then may be he needs to write a formal policy or
update his current policy (which he should do as matter of course)and have
his procedure confirmed by the union, some how I don't think he will get
very far.
