My colleague on a southern site and I both report directly to the group
Health Safety & Environment Manager and she reports in to the HR Director.
The rationale is that OH & safety work together on many issues and the HSE
Manager understands OH better than anyone else. This is a new structure as
we previously reported to HR Managers on each site.

Subject: Occupational Health structure
Dear all
I would be very grateful if anyone is willing to give information on where
Occupational Health ' sits' within their organisation eg within HR, Safety
or stand alone, and the rationale for this (if there is any!). Also,
information on the reporting structure, and where organisations are
widespread, on UK and global reporting structure.
Many thanks
Regards
Margaret
