Hi Tracy,
I've just seen a circular from LexisNexis UK about a study day called
"Controlling Contractors" - check out www.conferencesandtraining.com

Subject: Contractors
Dear All
I wonder if you could shed some light on the issue of contractors for
me.
I am currently reviewing which staff require audiometry and HAVS
assessments. I am slightly confused as to how far we should intervene
with
providing these services to contracted staff who are employed by other
companies. I understand that under the Health & Safety at Work Act we
have
a duty of care to provide a limited occupational health service to these
people, however where does this stop?
Any information or opinions you could provide would be greatly
appreciated.
Tracy
