Tanya,
Toilet Facalities
The impotant thing is to have access to water near the toilet, as washing with water after relieving oneslef is of prime improtance. Not necessarily a "French Toilet", the usual one will do. In Brunei, all the new homes will have the usual toilet and access to water usually via a small water hose with control valve. Some who has got extra money opt to install a fancier bidet. Toilet tissues is also required to dry after washing.
Praying needs
With regards to washing before prayer time, access to water source is necessary separate from the toilet areas. The need is to cleanse the hands, mouth, nose, face, arms, outer ears and feet.
Hope this helps.
