I have a policy which I can send you of line ,our employees are paid at
their managers discretion depending on how long they have been away .Up to
12 weeks all employees would be paid full sick pay anyway so we see that as
an extension of their sick pay others with 5 years service are entitled to
26 weeks so they are paid.( We try to return everyone before 12 weeks ).
If the absence is longer and holidays are built up then the manger and
employee negotiate using some or all of these days as part of the
re-introduction process.Holidays can not be held over to the next year nor
is there the option of working them and being paid so it makes sense to use
the days this way. So far our success rate is excellent.
