I will admit I know nothing about applying POP, except what I saw as a
student nurse many years ago.
I feel it (in my waters..) that there must be some requirement to do some
respiratory surveillance for those exposed to dust..even if only paper
screening for symptoms of irritant effects and rhino-conjunctivitis type of
symptoms. If there is an OES for nuisance dust, and control measures are in
place to reduce exposure, then some sort of surveillance will act as a check
that the control methods are actually effective......
Also I suspect some skin surveillance would be in order, if the POP is
smoothed with a gloved hands, then the glove materail might be a hazard and
it may or may not be adequate in protecting from the substance used.
Does anyone have different thoughts on this?
