Anne
I presume those with a BA in O H Nursing are also included on the register.

Subject: New Part of the NMC register important info for OHNs
Some news from the NMC which follows on from the specialist
practitioner
debate of a few months ago.
The OHNs on the list may be aware of the consultation exercise
undertaken by
the NMC re the third part of their register. I have recently been
involved
in working with them regarding whether OHNs should be included on
the third
part of the register.
You may be interested to know that from August 2004 all OH nurses
who have
recorded their specialist OHN qualification ie those with OHNC; OHND
or BSc
in OH Nursing will, in addition to their existing registration(s) be
automatically registered on the new third part of the register
which is for
community public health nurses. There will be an annotation next to
their
name on that register indicating that their professional back ground
is OH
Nursing. Other professional groups will include HV's and school
nurses.
Unfortunately there is nothing as yet on the NMC web site.
