The infectivity status could be assessed to determine if she is high risk .
This may have been undertaken already since if she is a chronic carrier of
high infectivity ie e antigen positive this would have greater implications
in her day to day life. Surgeons undertaking EPPs are currently only
restricted if e antigen positive or surface antigen positive and a high DNA
count.
