Sue
I am very grateful for your input and have found your site very resoursful. Please lets not have any conflict on here. Any info that needs to be "followed up" then so be it, but the site is a very good link for networking??? or not???

Hi Greta, that person is me. I think I did explain to you in my email why I
did not answer emails at that time - my dad died I had been nursing him with
cancer for 4 months and we buried him on Xmas Eve, around the time of your
email so quite a few emails got left - not only your own. If I did not give
that explanation I gave it to others and do apologise if my lack of
information confused you. As explained I have found these emails recently
(when you get over 100 mails a day for a site you do get rather snowed
under) I think I also apologised to youfor my delay in replying. Yes, I have
no OH qualifications. I have posted on this group and said previously that
although I do not have such qualifications I do have a history of good
training by some excellent OH Qualified practitioners (check the archives of
this list for proof of this)-some who post here incidentally and during one
of our debates in the mailing list I did mention all of this and say that I
did have a first class hons degree in education which had prepared me for
research based practice and some aspects of OH. I have my reasons for not
taking the degree - personal and ongoing long term carers committments so
yes it may be all a bit strange but that's my story. I think if you check
the site you will find I have lot's of valuable experience both in OH and
Industry. Alternatively I can send my email for validity and checking by
those who may wish to see this. I also as an ex Nurse Teacher and Senior
Education Manager set the site up primarily as an educational facility and
the message board on the site will demonstrate this if you read some of the
messages. The site mailing list helps others get in touch (both non OH
Qualified and Qualified OH Nurses) I have been very open in this mailing
list about not having the OH Degree, Cert or Diploma and never have never
professed to be something I am not so if this is all a bit strange I
apologise If I have offended your sensibilities. Do you wish me to take the
site down because I am non OH Qualified, or because I am a midwife/RMN or I
am a bit (debatable some may call me a lot) strange! Kindest regards, Sue

Subject: another OH site???
About 3 years ago I found a site on the internet www.ohnurse.co.uk and
emailed the person running the site - who it appeared had no OH
qualifications or experience. She actually answered me this week!!!!! Not
saying much except that she was a midwife and worked in mental health. Now -
am I going a bit loopy in my old age or is all this a bit strange? Have a
look and let me know what you think - please? I would value your
comments.............
