The comments are so right about lack of interest, doesn't apply to me etc- I
put little committees total 8 people together and give them a theme. The
ideas were innovative, new and fun e.g. alcohol (can you pour a measure)
health eating ( what is a potion of fruit and veg and recipe ideas with
tasters. The group arrange accupressure massage taster session and talk. A
Gym trainer to talk. There was even a tombola of life where everyone won a
small prize either made in-house or bought from a small budget encouraged
from a senior manager.
I acted as adviser and co-ordinator for the group and we had 85%
participation in the most recent day and lots of fun.

Subject: Health week
One of the companies that I work for are interested in
holding a "Health
week" where we put displays, presentations, exercise classes
etc on. The
aim of it will be to promote healthy heart and mind
awareness.
Have any of you ever done something like this? I would be
interested to
learn what you think worked and if any part of it turned out
to be a turkey.
Also - thanks very much for the advice about release of
medical
information - this list is priceless for being able to get
support and
validation that those of us on our own are on the right
track!
Best Wishes
Sharon
