I believe that there is no place for disclaimers with the case
described as it would be deamed that 'informed consent to decline
treatment' would not be deemed siutable obtained from a first aider as in
requiring an ambulance puts this outside the scope of first aid disposal.
I thought is that your policy should state that inn these case's an
ambulance should be called, ambulance crews can then obtain 'refusal of
treatment' Your company has the right to then ask the person to leave the
premesis if they are unfit/unsafe to work.However how they do this is a
different matter if they aren't fit to drive and there vehicle is on site.
Its a legal v ethical mine field and perhaps in long term illness as in
your case I would invite client in for a discussion around these matters.
