Hello,
Our department has been looking at this issue at length. The position
adopted is that contractors should have OH care provided by employing
company for generic OH issues such as absence management and fitness to
work, however where the risk is specific to the contracting company then
there OH department should perform duties such as Health surveillance
where an external OH provider may not be able to provide adequate service
(in our case ie dealing with unregistered compounds).
