Thanks for this and thanks to everyone who responded to my query and for the
interesting debate.I'm currently in a similar structural set up to you, Naz,
though not NHS, but am currently involved in discussions about Occ. Health
structure within the organisation, where it should 'sit' etc so all this
will be very useful!

We are managed by HR directly (I am the manager of the OH dept, but my
manager is a HR Director), however, though this is the case we tend to
practice more as a separate unit from HR. I work in the NHS. Naz
