Dear All
More help required please! I am attempting to prepare for this year's flu campaign having had our best ever last year. When reading the above document in relation to carrying out assessment of Varicella status we noted on page 18 that the DOH have included influenza - "All appropriate healthcare staff will be up to date with immunisations for hepatitis B, TB, influenza and chickenpox".
Could NHS OH personnel let me know how they have interpreted this and what they are planning in relation to mass vaccination of staff with 'flu' vaccine if this is what is being required? I have interpreted it to mean all frontline staff or all patient contact staff - note the word 'WILL'. I know that many of our staff are anti-flu vaccine and I am contacting Julian Topping for guidance also.
Many thanks for the replies I have received so far re the other issues!
