My dept have not worn uniforms but we are now each having one for when we visit the wards to see in-patients for gaining consent to test for HBV & HCV following a contamination incident. We also feel that when our screening nurses go out on our new mobile unit it may help if they wear uniform so that they are identified as nurses. We wear the Trust's Specialist Nurse Uniform.
