A POSTDOCTORAL POSITION OPEN
The Diagnostic Instrumentation and Analysis Laboratory at Mississippi
State University (DIAL-MSU) invites applications for a postdoctoral
position working on a project entitled "Isoprene-OH Peroxy
Radicals: Kinetic Studies of Specific Isomers," funded by the National
Science Foundation. This project is a joint effort between DIAL-MSU and
Environmental Science and Forestry campus of the State University of
New York (SUNY-ESF). The successful candidate will be working with
Dr. Chuji Wang at DIAL-MSU for the first year and with Dr. Theodore S.
Dibble at SUNY-ESF for the second year. The continuation of the position
in the third year will be contingent upon funding availability and mutual
agreement. The project involves spectroscopic and kinetic studies of
organic peroxy radicals in the NIR using cw-CRDS. A strong background in
spectroscopy is required.
The salary is competitive. The candidate will have opportunities to
gain experience in the latest ringdown technologies and instrumentation,
as well as cutting-edge (fundable) topics in atmospheric chemistry.
Interested applicants should send a resume and three letters of
