ACS Symposium on Chemical Physics in Atmospheric Science
Fall American Chemical Society National Meeting 2004
22-26 August 2004
Philadelphia, PA, USA
**** Solicitation for ORAL AND POSTER CONTRIBUTIONS ****
**** ABSTRACT DEADLINE: March 29, 2004 ****
The goal of this multi-session Symposium is to highlight the importance of
fundamental physical chemistry in addressing problems in atmospheric
science, and to stimulate discussion amongst practitioners in each area.
Topics will include Chemistry and Climate, Clusters and Adducts in the
Atmosphere, Bimolecular and Termolecular Reactions: Kinetics, Dynamics, and
Isotope Effects, Gas Phase Chemistry, VOC Chemistry, and Surface Chemistry
(Aerosols and Surface Chemistry). A list of invited speakers appears below.
We invite you to contribute to this symposium. Both posters and oral
contributions are welcome, though there will be only a limited number of
slots for contributed speakers. Abstracts should be submitted to the
following website by 24:00 Eastern Standard Time March 29, 2004 (05:00 GMT
March 30, 2004):

Symposium Announcement:
Advances in experimental and theoretical techniques are leading to ever more
sophisticated investigations into atmospheric processes at the molecular
level. Such studies are providing fundamental insights into gas phase
reaction dynamics and kinetics, isotope effects, heterogeneous chemistry,
and cluster and aerosol formation relevant to both the troposphere and
stratosphere. The goal of this symposium is to highlight new results in
atmospheric chemistry obtained from chemical physics studies and to
introduce recent advances and problems in atmospheric research to the
chemical physics community.
