Symposium on Charge Transfer at Interfaces at ACS San Diego
Meeting March
13-17, 2005
Charge transfer, especially electron transfer, is a
fundamental chemical concept. Electron transfer at
interfaces poses special constraints and
challenges. While interfacial electron transfer may be
considered the domain of electrochemistry, it impacts areas as
diverse as molecular electronics, transduction mechanism for
sensors and solar energy conversion. This symposium seeks to
identify the connections by bringing together scientists
investigating charge transfer in a wide range of
systems.
We invite contributions from experimentalist and theorists
using state of the art approaches, including scanning probe
microscopies, ultrafast spectroscopic techniques, ab-initio
and molecular dynamics simulations.
This symposium is sponsored by the ACS Division of Colloid and
Surface Chemistry as a part of the Electrochemical Surface
Science Continuing Symposia series.
