Kathy -
A little more on the background of the Peruvian Corporation:
There was a long controversy with the government of Peru by foreign holders
of defaulted Peruvian bonds. These holders, in the main English, settled the
controversy in 1890 when they organized the Peruvian Corporation, Ltd. took over
the government railways on a long-term lease in the hope of recovering on
their defaulted bonds.
The above from Henry Meiggs - Yankee Pizarro, by Watt Stewart. Duke
University Press, 1946.
I could not find any reference in this book to the persons on whom you had
sought information.
