Subject: do you have suggestions
Hi everybody. I am workning om at litteraturelist for first and third
year students at The Danish midwifery School. I am looking for teksts
on different levels, dealing with the concept of normality/ natural and
risk in obstetrics and midwifery. First year I want the student to
wounder about these concepts not accepting them at first sight. On the
next level I want a tekst that dicusses the relationship between the
concepts.
I wounder if any of you have recommendations? I have earlier used:
Wackerhausen Steen. What is natural? Deciding what to do and not to do
in medicine and health care. Br J Obstet Gynaecol. 1999
Nov;106(11):1109-12.
Wackerhausen is a philoopher and in this article he explores the
concept of natural and normal. This tekst was orignially a speech given
to a nordic conference in obstetrics. The tekst I am looking should
have more of an inside perspective. How do the obstetrical community
and the midwifery community describe the concept of
normality/natural/risk
