Dear Vanora,
I have used diaries in a number of past projects. One we have written up as
a methods paper:
Wyness, L., Douglas, F., van Teijlingen, E. (2004) Diaries in Health
Promotion Research: The mobile information bus evaluation, Health Education,
104: 304-313.
Good luck with your research!
Edwin

Dear Vanora
Here in Derby, we are currently designing two diaries for a comparative
study. It's an interesting work, I am trying to involve a wide range of
staff and mothers to design the diary ensuring an input from all areas
of relevance. Obviously, we are trying to avoid any direct or leading
question but giving some prompts for each area. If you like to discuss
this in more details, I am happy to talk to you off the line.
Also I am interested in more information around the subject.
Thanks
Hora

We are about to start a study which will involve the use of diaries as
a
method of data collection. I would be grateful for any advice that you
can
offer with regard to using this method of data collection. Any
examples
would also be much appreciated.
Many thanks for your help
