I think you also need to consider the sphere of practice for midwives, as their exposure may vary if looking primarily at midwives providing mainly high risk care then their exposure may be higher to cord prolapse than midwives providing care for low risk women.

the contemporary rate for cord prolapse given in the medical literature
lies between 0.4 and 3.55%. However, Austrian caregivers report a much
lower rate from personal experience.
May I ask you to report how often you personally have experienced cord
prolapse? Please also state: your country, and the number of years in
practice or the number of births you have attended for comparison.
