The Centre d'Etudes Supérieures de la Renaissance in Tours (France)
* offers 3 to 4 three-year Ph.D. stipends in the following fields, when
there is a co-director in Tours: history; French, English or Italian
language and literature; neo-Latin studies; art history; musicology,
philosophy; history of the sciences; history of the book. A two-page
proposal and a CV should be sent to the French director or co-director
of the thesis, as well to the Director of the Centre, Marie-Luce
Demonet, before February 10. Documents are accepted in French or in
English.
* is enabled by the Region Centre Council to offer post-doctoral
fellowships: the deadline for applications is February 10, with
applications to be sent to Marie-Luce Demonet. See below for further
requirements; documents may be in French or in English.
* is enabled by the same Council to offer the "Studium/Centre national de
la Recherche Scientifique" fellowship--a two-year stipend (2004 and
2005) for an innovative project proposed by an established scholar, with
a special interest in interdisciplinary studies, or a project involving
two research centres. The documents (in English) should be sent to
Marie-Luce Demonet, as well as to the local correspondent, before

* has applied for an Erasmus-mundus agreement, which would provide special
funding to non-European students for preparation of a two-year M.A.,
specializing in the Renaissance (Tours/ Bologna/Royal Holloway/ Freie
Universitaet Berlin/ Catholic University in Berlin). Further information
