For those interested, there is material available on the V&A website
covering the evaluation and prototyping of the British Galleries
in-gallery interactives. These can be found at www.vam.ac.uk .   Under
'Collections' on the home page select British Galleries / Visitor
Research: Developing the Gallery Experience. You can also try out some
of the gallery interactives (e.g. the Style Guides) here that have been
prepared for web delivery.

In addition, in November 2004 V&A Publications and Laboratorio
Museotecnico Goppion will publish a new book on the making of the
British Galleries. Entitled Creating the British Galleries at the V&A: a
Study in Museology, this work includes a chapter describing the
development of all the gallery interactives (hi- and low-tech) and audio
devices. [The book can be ordered from the V&A website.]

Dear all,

I am looking for published articles (or books?) on digital media
exhibits in
galleries and museums. While the stuff published on museums and the
web
would probably cover the route of the internet, I can find practically
nothing dealing with use on site.

I am sure that others know of lots of useful references - all
suggestions
welcome.
