Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery would like to employ a Museums Web
Researcher / Editor. The post is based at the main Museum & Art Gallery in
Birmingham city centre.
Salary £17,409 (scale 5)
Fultime, fixed term contract for 1 year from appointment, 36.5 hours per
week.
Working with museum staff across a range of disciplines, you will research,
edit and write fresh readable text and features for Birmingham Museum's
suite of websites, with a focus on generating new lifelong learning
resources but also including some news and publicity features. Contributing
to the development of new online learning materials as part of the
'Renaissance in the Regions' initiative, you will have an interest in the
potential of museum collections as a resource for lifelong learning, with a
flair for visual and graphic design and web-authoring skills, including
HTML and Dreamweaver.
