Reminder - Informal evening about IFLA

The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) held its 70th Conference in Buenos
Aires in August 2004. LIS workers from throughout the world met to discuss major issues and share expertise.
The Career Development Group (London & South East Divisions) and the International Library & Information
Group are pleased to invite you to an informal evening meeting at which three delegates will reflect on their
experiences at the conference.
The meeting is on Wednesday 13th October 2004 (6.30 for 7pm) at CILIP HQ (full details below).
If you are interested in learning more about the work of IFLA and how to get involved as part of your professional
development, join us for a chat with our guests:
- Paul Sturges, from the Department of Information Science at the University of Loughborough and Chair of the IFLA/FAIFE

- Maria Cotera, from University College London, first timer at the 2004 IFLA Conference in Buenos Aires, and
- Jill Martin, Director of Knowledge & Information at CILIP, who will explain how you can apply
for sponsorship to next year's Conference.
