Library, information and archive professional staff

for their users to a range of materials in this
digital age and, when providing copies, to ensure
those users and others are following current laws.
The EU Copyright Directive was implemented in 2003.
Come and hear experiences of using this law with:
Graham Cornish, international expert in the field of
copyright, and
Andrew Braid, The British Librarys expert in this
area.
Chaired by Paul Sturges, from Loughborough
Universitys acclaimed Department of Information
Science, you will learn about:
· Information on recent cases and experience of
European Directives and what this means for libraries,
information centres and archives from a practical
viewpoint,
· Interpreting the law for digital use
· Advice on specific current issues,
· Time for questions on the various copyright points
facing your service or organisation.
