Middlesbrough Libraries loan these at £1.50 & £2.50 a time. They are prone
to the same damage and faults as all CDs - scratches and dirt. They are
also quite difficult to test for faults, since I have neither the time nor
the patience to play them as intensely as the borrowers (My role is to test
for faults in non-print media). I have a 3-yearold Database, which contains
ony 29 Playstation Games out of 1351 items about which complaints have
made. There are 107 music CDs. I would guess that the Games are relatively
sturdy, though we have a lot fewer than music CDs.
For comparison - I found nothing wrong with 16 games of the 29, and 39 CDs
out of 107, but music CDs do not play consistently in all CD players, which
accounts for quite a number of complaints. The game technology seems more
reliable..
