With apologies for cross-posting, please note the following seminar
scheduled for April 28th in Manchester.
A NAG SEMINAR
28th April 2004
Jury's Inn Hotel, Manchester
Event Organiser - Maggie Sumner
A VIP SERVICE?
Have you kept up to date with the latest developments in services to
VIPs
(Visually Impaired Persons)?
High profile campaigns like Share the Vision and Right to Read are
focussing
attention on the needs of the VIP community to an unprecedented
degree.
The Disability Discrimination Act and the Copyright (VIP) Act have
transformed the legislative framework, making it possible for the first
time
to provide individual copies in alternative formats for VIPs.
At the same time ICT developments and the advent of e-books are
bringing new
means of access to digitised text.
Make sure you get up to date on:
ü the requirements of VIPs in the digital age
ü developments in large print and spoken word
publishing
ü recent changes in copyright legislation
ü innovative public and academic library services
ü new service partnerships
ü new access technologies
with papers from our expert panel of VIPs, librarians, publishers and
IT
specialists.
Listen, learn, question and give us your own point of view in our Open
Forum.
A full programme will be posted to our website on
<http://www.nag.org.uk/>
www.nag.org.uk shortly.
