I have only recently joined this mailing-list. Already I am finding it very
tedious that some included messages are sent out twice over. Many e-mail
users have their e-mail system set up in such a way that every message they
send appears in ASCII, which is perfectly adequate, AND ALSO in html,
normally quite needless. Some Microsoft programmes have this set as the
default. It should be possible to weed out these unwanted copies before
sending them out again in the Digest.
Many e-mail users are not knowledgeable about the software they use, or do
not bother to re-set it or examine the default settings. The result simply
wastes everybody's time and multiplies the size of messages!
Unless the Digest can filter these out it will IMPAIR our digestion.
Yours sincerely, Robin.
