I couldn't agree more, Laura.
There are elements of team working, team leading and eventual line
management which are often sadly lacking in the training of new
entrants as they begin to grapple with para-professional and other
colleagues' seemingly superior ability to manage!
It isn't always an illusion: the best managers and leaders have usually
received the best training!
When you go for interviews, make sure you ask questions around these
issues: remember, you are selecting too!
