The Centre for Information Quality Management is pleased
to announce the publication of its latest report.
The CIQM 2004 Website Quality Survey: .gov.uk Sites
A summary and the full report, in the form of a Word file, can be found
at:
http://www.i-a-l.co.uk/ciqm_qreport.html
The report details the analysis of 60 Websites against
a selected subset of quality and evaluation criteria.
None of the sites tested passed all of the tests and the highest score
was 18.5 out of 33 possible marks for compliance with the surveyed
features. Local authority websites performed better than the 'other'
.gov websites, but not significantly so.
Note:
CIQM was set up in 1993 under the auspices of the (then)
Library Association and Institute of Information
Scientists to monitor database quality. CIQM's remit now
includes all electronic informational resources.
CIQM is run by Information Automation Limited, the
specialist research, training and consultancy company
based in mid-Wales.
