Dear Melcom member,
I just received this email from our supplier and wondered if any other
members were interested in getting copies, or possibly sharing the cost if
we could work it out somehow. As far as the BL is concerned, we have some
of the titles and there are also copies of some in, for example, Cambridge.
I am on leave at the moment so I can't immediately check out our exact
holdings, but I thought it would be useful to know how other members felt
about it and especially if anyone is intending to buy the whole run. It is
very expensive but it would be wonderful to have. I will write back and try
to find out more about how long publication will take, ie. 5000GBP over 3
years is a different financial proposition form 1 or 2.
Ursula
dear Mrs Sims-Williams
Thank you for your email regarding the receipt of the June
parcels.University of Tehran has palanned to reprint and publish 100 title
periodicals and newspapers of the Mashrutiyat Era. The list has been scanned
and attached. Please use ACD to open it. It can be enlarged so that you can
read it easily.
If one is interested to have them one has to fill in a form together with a
small deposit submit it before the 20th August, otherwise one would miss the
chance of having them. The whole publication which might take a couple of
years to be completely published would cost 4000 to 5000 pounds (including
the post charges.)
If you are interested to have them all or at least half of them please let
me know as soon as you can. In case you are interested in not less than half
of the titles it might be possible to share the other half, more or less,
with someone else.
At any rate I would be grateful if you could let me know your comment.
Please bear in mind that the deadline is the 20th August, and I have to
know have your respond at least one day before the deadline.
Thank you
Hadi Sharifi
