Amongst all the discussion about this, job profiles etc, have I missed something? Given that Trust wage bills will rise after implementation, how will this rise be funded? Has the government promised money? If not, and in the context of the dire financial straits many Trusts are already in, am I the only one to predict swingeing cuts in NHS ancillary staff as Trusts struggle to meet the costs?
