My partner is a teacher, for his sins, and he maybe right at school, but as it is his responsibility to educate 11-18 year olds and they turn up in the university library I manage, to embark on a 6 year course to be a doctor, I like to go home at the end of the day and blame him for the fact they can barely speak, read, write etc let alone behave in a library (recent discovery this term was a locked unlit study room that was in fact occupied!).
So tonight for all of us, he cook the dinner and do the washing up and feel ashamed of his profession!
Louise

well, actually I used to be a school librarian & some of my best friends are
teachers (and my sister-in-law), but yes, when they come out with opinions
like these they do need slapping around (in a non-violent way of course).
