CILIP UC&R and CofHE Joint Conference 2004

E is for Education also for Effectiveness! How to justify your Library or
Information Service

Collingwood College, Durham University 5th - 8th April 2004

Personal, professional and service effectiveness are increasingly
important. Library and information services across the broad educational
spectrum have to continuously prove their contribution to the teaching and
learning process. Justifying expenditure on resources, staffing and
services is an art when, increasingly, these resources, staff and services
are under threat. The Conference theme of Effectiveness will be explored
through three sub themes: Strategic Issues; Personal Skills; and Curriculum
Issues. A fourth strand, Current Hot Topics will pick up emerging issues
nearer, and during, the Conference itself.
