Senior Library Assistant: Information Support Services Team Assistant (ref 24/03/04)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated self starter to work as a full-time Information Support Services Team Assistant based in the
Royal Free Hospital Medical Library in Hampstead, London. The Information Support Services Team currently provides information skills training,
literature searching and knowledge services to all Royal Free & University College Medical School staff and students and to all Royal Free
Hampstead NHS Trust staff. The postholder will be responsible for assisting the team in delivering and promoting current services as well as
contributing to major new knowledge projects.
The successful applicant will have a qualification in librarianship or information science, experience of providing user focused customer services,
skills in finding, evaluating and using information, both printed and electronic and a high degree of competence in the use of computer software
such as Microsoft Office, email and the Internet. An interest in technology and software developments within the health and library fields would
be an advantage
Salary within the CRA4 range, £17,737-£20,149 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting. In addition, Library Services offers a generous leave
allowance
