Dear Colleague,
[With apologies for cross-posting]
The JORUM project (http://www.jorum.ac.uk) is funded by the JISC to scope a
service to be launched in August 2005, which will offer access for teaching and
support staff in all UK F/HEIs to re-usable learning objects and teaching
support materials held in a repository.
A primary objective of the JORUM project was to provide a scoping study report
for the JISC and the community by the end of January 2004, examining user,
system and service requirements.
The purpose of this email is to inform you that the report is now available.
It is in eight Volumes, as follows:
Volume I - Overview and Recommendations
Volume II - Review of Software Systems [not to be published in its entirety due
to commercial--in-confidence material - a short version excluding this material
will be made available as soon as possible]
Volume III - Report on Requirements Work
Volume IV - Report on Requirements Work - Appendices
Volume V - Metadata
Volume VI - Accessibility
Volume VII - Digital Rights Management
Volume VIII - JORUM and the JISC Information Environment
These documents are now available at the JORUM website. Please visit
http://www.jorum.ac.uk, where at the bottom of the homepage you will find links
to the seven available documents.
We would like to thank all who responded to our questionnaires and contributed
so generously to the requirements work and hope that you will find the report
interesting.
If you have any comments, please send them to Sarah McConnell
