This seminar explores training and development opportunities for those
without formal library qualifications.
Learn about opportunities for advancement and growth in your career.
Hear from our three speakers how you can market yourself and achieve
library/information qualifications while working.
Speaker 1. Chris Slocombe
The European Computer Driving License
Discussing topics such as;
1.ECDL establishes standards for everyone who uses a computer in either a
professional or a personal capacity.
2.Awards a certificate that verifies your competence and declares your
computer skills.
Speaker 2. From Infomatch discussing topics such as:
1.Job hunting advice
2.Marketing yourself
3.Career planning
Speaker 3. Liz Annetts
NVQ Qualifications for Library Assistants
Details and explanation of these competence based qualifications you can
achieve while working.
Cost is £35 for CPD25 subscribers, £50 M25 affiliate members and £70 for
other institutions, including refreshments
Please note that there are only 30 places available for this event, which
will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Bookings will close
on the 5th February 2004 and any cancellations after that date will incur a
50% cancellation fee. In the event of a “no show” on the day 100%
cancellation charges will apply.
